Diocesan Director: Rev. Fr. S. Emilianuspillai ( 01-07-2018 to date)

Former Diocesan Directors:When the Diocese was created Rev. Fr. A. Xavier Croos, the former Vicar General took charge of the Lay apostolate on the 3rd of June 1982 and pateit was handed over Rev. Fr. A. P. Devasahayam. From 1990 to 2000 Rev. Frs. S. Nobert and Y. Thevasahayampillai carried out the Family Apostolate

The other Diocesan Directors are:

  • Rev. Fr. A. Victor Sosai ( 01-10-2000 to 18-08-2006)
  • Rev. Fr. C. AntonithasDalima ( 19-08-2006 to 26-04-2009)
  •  Rev. Fr. A. Sebamalai ( 28-04-2009 to 22-05-2011)
  •  Rev. Fr. S. K. Devarajah  (  23-05-2011 to 30-06-2018)

The Centre: The Centre was built by Bishop Rayappu Joseph and it was blessed and decleared opened on the 27th of October 2001. Rev. Fr. A. Victor Sosai was the Diocesan Director. The ground floor of the new complex within the campus initiated by Rev. Fr. S. K. Devarajah was blessed and opened by Bishop Kingsley Swampillai on the 18th of April 2016. The first floor was blessed and opened by Most Rev. Dr. Pier Nayan Van Tot, the Apostolic Nuncio on the 20th of May 2017.

Structure: The Diocesan Director is assisted by a group of Lay trained people in the fields of marriage and Lay Apostolate.

Ministries: Rev. Fr. S. Emilianuspillai, the present Diocesan Director takes care and promotes the Lay associations like St. Vincent De Paul, Legion of Mary Ctholic Women Associations and Kolping Societies; conducts Pre-Cana conferences conducts counseling course; conducts enrichment courses for the married couples in groups.
